I thought I would participate, so here are my answers. I was encouraged to be brief, so I have so striven to be.
Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
Usually I don’t snack, because the
pages can get ooky.
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of
writing in books horrify you?
School books (mine) yes. Any
others, no.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?
Gift book marks. My favorite is a laminated, cut-out photo
book mark one of my students made me.
Laying the book flat open? NO!
Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? YES!
Hard copy or audiobooks? Only hard copy
Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you
able to put a book down at any point?
I prefer chapter ends, in case a
book mark isn’t handy.
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?
It rarely happens any more. I’m too much of a smarty pants.
What are you currently reading?
Bats in the Library
What is the last book you bought?
For myself, “The Florist’s
Daughter” (Haven't read it yet)
Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can
you read more than one at a time?
I can, but I don’t prefer to. I have enough trouble keeping everything
straight.
Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?
Any time, any where. Have book will travel.
Do you prefer series books or stand alone books?
I like both.
Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and
over?
Bobbie Ann Mason’s Clear Spring
How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?)
Fiction by author. Non-fiction by
historical chronology. And I separate
out poetry. Don’t know why.
